Discover Kirk Arndt's Story
Kirk Arndt: Freelance Writer
Kirk Arndt is a lifelong outdoorsman from Minnesota. He started writing humorous short stories about hunting and fishing trips to read to friends and family around the campfire over 30 years ago. Over the years, they have grown to an intolerable volume and hence, like kittens, they must be foisted off onto unsuspecting victims, like you!
Ever since being inspired by reading Mark Twain’s The Decay of the Art of Lying Kirk has been endeavoring to improve himself in this regard, at least in his humorous writing! Although his stories are based on real life adventures in the outdoors, in the tradition of the American tall tale, they occasionally slip into the realm of embellishment. Half the fun of reading these stories is trying to guess when Kirk is pulling your leg!
When he is not stalking mushrooms or fly fishing for carp, Kirk enjoys forging knives and building long bows and arrows. To fund these activities, he labors as a Licensed Behavior Analyst, fondly remembering the good old days when he finagled a living out of counseling at-risk youth to stay out of trouble by teaching them how to fish and shoot the longbow.
